PREPARING FOR YOUR ARRIVAL

The single most important aspect of your experience is remembering why you’re here. You’ve taken a bold leap to create this space for yourself at this moment in your life. :)

Your intention is your sacred compass for guiding you in how you wish to use your time, energy, and focus while you’re on the land.

Intentions can be defined by these overarching questions:

How do you want to feel? What are you curious about uncovering right now? What nourishment and healing does your body, mind, heart and soul most need?

After hosting hundreds of people each year at Hestia, we have found that you will most like receive what you most need but these gifts often arrive in unexpected packages on the land … from the mundane to the sublime! This is the MAGIC!

STEP #1: Clarify your intentions

Before you arrive, take time to reflect on how you want to FEEL & BE while you’re here and what changes you seek in this phase your life.

Your sabbatical journal includes guiding prompts and words to help you craft and refine your intention. You may find that your intention shifts, evolves, and deepens while you’re here, so stay open to that!

POST-RETREAT

Integration resources

  • Try to limit time on tech, with people and move slowly for the first 3 days that you’re back. If you can limit social time and keep the internal relationship with yourself, the insights and transformation tends to really stick.

  • Find time to be in nature as a way to ground. It can be a really difficult energy shift to go back to the noise and pace of regular life. Nature can help bring us back to our natural rhythms without thinking too much or trying too hard.

  • Keep on journaling and revisit your journal pages to notice what additional insights may come.

  • Use the Hestia mug and the Gratitude Blooming card deck as visual reminders for your intentions post-retreat.
