Our Story: A Homecoming to the Land

Over a decade ago, a quiet whisper called me out of the hectic pace of city life and into the arms of Mount Shasta. What began as a weeklong retreat turned into a life-altering relationship with the land— an A-frame house nestled under a sacred cedar tree that felt more like a return home than a retreat.

In the years that followed, my partner Peter and I said yes to what we didn’t fully understand. We listened. We tended. We cultivated the land, and the land grew us. From this one sanctuary in Mount Shasta, Hestia Magic was born—named after the Greek goddess of the hearth and keeper of the sacred flame of home, family and community.

Since then, two sister lands in Hawai‘i have joined the circle. Each one holds its own voice, its own lessons, its own kind of magic. What began as a seed of sanctuary has bloomed into a vision of something larger— a Global Village rooted in land, belonging, and deep interconnection.

The VisioN: A MULTI-generational Village AROUND THE WORLD

We are now stepping into a new chapter.

Hestia is becoming more than a network of retreat centers—it is evolving into a living global village:

Places where people of all ages, cultures, and walks of life come to remember what it means to *rest**, to* *belong**, and to* co-create with Mother Earth.

From now til summer solstice (June 20), we are enrolling our first 80 Founding Villagers of the 2025 Hestia Global Village. Our founding villagers will help shape what this new paradigm of land stewardship, community exchange, and sacred living can become.

With your presence and participation, we will co-create the culture and coherence that will guide the evolution of this village in the years to come. Over the next five years, we envision the Global Village expanding to other sacred lands around the world such as:

Glastonbury, England — known for its ancient earth mysteries from the Druid and Celtic lineages

Taiwan — where 16 indigenous tribes are officially honored and the Polynesian wayfinding traditions began

Each land will be chosen in deep listening with the village, and each site will steward a critical Earth resource—like the mineral rich waters of Mount Shasta, or the fertile volcanic soils of Hawai‘i.

As our village grows in trust and coherence, so too will our network of sanctuaries.
